Who we are

myoffice is a free, browser-based Office alternative. In this policy, “we” means its operator. [Operator’s legal name, country and postal address — to be completed by the operator.]

What we collect

• Account data: your email address, your name if you give one, and a sign-in identifier from Firebase Authentication (email and password, or Google sign-in).
• Your files: the documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDFs and images you upload or create, together with folder names, file names, sizes and dates.
• Technical data: your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, recorded in standard server logs. We also derive your approximate country from your IP address to show prices in your currency; that lookup is not stored.
• Preferences: your chosen language, theme and editor language.

How we use it

We do not sell your data, and we do not read or mine the content of your documents for advertising.

• To provide the editors, converters, PDF tools and OCR.
• To scan uploads for malware, enforce storage limits and prevent abuse.
• To keep the service secure and to find and fix problems.
• To send account emails, such as email verification and password reset.

Where your files are processed

Your files are stored on our servers in an area private to your account. Editing, conversion, PDF tools and OCR run on our own infrastructure; your files are not sent to third-party OCR or conversion services.

Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication, a service of Google.

Cookies and browser storage

We use only what the service needs: a language cookie (kept for one year), the sign-in session stored by Firebase, and your theme and editor-language preferences in your browser’s local storage.

We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. The free plan is meant to be supported by ads in the dashboard, never inside your documents. Before any advertising service is switched on, we will update this policy and describe what it stores.

How long we keep data

• Files stay until you delete them. Deleted items go to Trash and remain there until you delete them permanently or empty the Trash.
• You can delete your account in Settings. This permanently removes your files, folders, account record and sign-in identity.
• Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

Sharing

We share data only with the providers needed to run the service (such as Firebase for sign-in and our hosting provider) and when the law requires it.

Security

Uploads are scanned for malware before they are stored, and passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your own copies of important files.

Your choices and rights

You can view, download, rename and delete your files at any time, and delete your account yourself. To ask about your data, or to correct or remove it, email support@myoffice.app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.

Children

myoffice is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
